Slides 21 & 22 features some interior stonework that is very similar to the University limestone. I think the architects from Kansas City took a drive around Toledo and liked what they saw here on W Bancroft St. It has to be more than pure coincidence.

Nice input physics man!

Yeah, I love the limestone at UT. Hopefully Snyder will come tumbling down and we can get that non limestone eyesore off the main campus.

I never liked campuses that are a hodgepodge of different architectural styles. Eclectic doesn't work on college campuses.

It's great to have construction of two virtually new arenas being done simultaneously. This is a rare event for any city.

Go Toledo & UT

I never understood people's anxiousness to get Snyder torn down. Somebody named Snyder must have made some sort of contribution to UT. Do we really want to erase his or her memory? Why not fix it up? And personally, I've been waiting for the tin shed Anthro-Socio building to come down for about 30 years. It's a freakin portable classroom module for cripes sake. That needs to come down before anything else IMO.
If Snyder was taken away, I would not miss the yellow tile falling off of it, nor all the leaks.
I agree with RocketJeff on both points. Synder Memorial needs to be re-done to look like the other buildings on Main Campus. Right now it looks like an eye sore, but with the proper maintenance it can fit in with the rest of the buildings.

Does anybody remember what UT was going to do with its buildings? I remember reading somewhere that they were planning on fixing up the Field House first and then completely demolishing the trailer (as we called it) and the Armory Building. Correct me if I'm wrong.
There have been so many fits and non-starts with both Snyder and the Soc/Anthro building over the years that it's hard to keep up. S/A was supposed to come down many years ago. Then the department was supposed to move into Wolf when they added on to B-O. Last I heard, it's moving/moved into UHall. Snyder was supposed to be torn down in '99, but wasn't for some reason. Been in that eyesore? It needs to come down and replaced with something more suitable to the campus.
They need to at least clean up the outside of Snyder. If they clean up the outside, it would look 10x better.

And they need to tear down the Student-Annex (Sociology/Anthropology). They could also tear down the armory and build a new classroom w/ a PARKING LOT next to it in that field next to Carlson lib.
The Armory is going to be demolished.

Did a lot of pushups in that building.... and spend a lot of hours on the drill floor as a Pershing Rifleman.
