The guy w/help from the criminals in stripes single handily beat WMU . Every time we got pressue on him we lost containment and he ran for the first on 3rd and 4th down. Hes by far the best player in the MAC.
Davis is a good QB but nowhere near he playmaker of this guy.

My honest assessment of Davis/Lefevour is that Davis is a very good quarterback, with all the size and tools pro scouts look for. At THE NEXT LEVEL, he very well may be better than Dan. However, they aren't at the next level, they're in college. At this level, Dan is far more fun to watch, and IMO a much better player than Davis. As you pointed out conrock, Dan can single handedly beat you both with his arm and his legs, and has an uncanny ability to make plays when they're needed the most.
If given the option as a college football coach, I would take LeFevour over Davis in a heartbeat and not think twice about it. He's one of the best QBs in the country, whether he goes to CMU or BCS U.

What has to be maddening for Dan's opponents is that, while not having blazing speed, he is somehow elusive enough that he rarely takes a good hard shot. Slippery he is.
He's a good reciever too. NIU learned the hard way that you have to watch out for trick plays with him. I think he's probably one of my favorite college players right now.

I think that can be described with the same term they used to describe Chris Long on draft day: "Deceptively Atheletic". AKA White.
LeFevour is as poised as any player in the country. Nothing, I mean nothing, rattles this cat. He is so smart, so athletic, and deadly accurate that he is hard to stop. If anyone wants to beat CMU, their best chance to get up early. The only problem with LeFevour, is that every now and then he is a little rusty on the first couple possessions. After that, its game over.
LeFevour is a flat out star. I am sure someone like, oh I dont know, the University of Michigan down the road would kill to have him as a QB right now.

I do like Opelt ..he may be the best of the -3-. The MAC West is LOADED @ QB. LeFevere, Opelt Davis, Hiller & Schmitt they are all proven gamers. The BG guy Sheehan he can play as well.

Or you could strive to not only win MAC championships but take your program and thus the entire MAC to the next level. Sure I want to see WMU do well all the time. But I want the MAC champion to be a powerhouse who is in the AP top 25, beating BCS teams and in the hunt for a BCS spot. Not a 6 loss team that lets ACC teams put 70 points on them, gets beat at home by an FCS squad, and hang their hat on a novelty act QB who gets an article on the rivals page in early June. That just indicates the entire conference is down.
