The removal of track was a Judy Bailey thing. It had a great tradition here, and was flat out a bad move. Someone on MLive posted that track may be back on the table.
If there is someone who reads this site who has knowledge of that I'd be happy to do a story on Rivals in regard to it, with some follow up from KB. However, before I do that I'd like to know if this is truly being discussed, and at what level.

Crossed my mind too. However, the possibility exists.
Be about as likely as bringing back mens swimming during these economic times.
I hope I'm wrong, but very doubtful, unless they cut another sport to bring back track. Even BCS universities around the country are whacking sports.
Track is always an option, all the track folks would need to do is come up with the money to endow the sport. That is the avenue that college athletics is taking these days, and if the alumni are that committed they can make it happen.
If they have the money committed then I'm sure that KB would listen to them.

ASU's "Sun Aggies" just banded together and saved their recently cut wrestling program. It can be done.
Of course, they probably got the word out and didn't keep it to themselves when they learned of the decision.......
