I wish my dog was still a puppy. I love puppies, but I still love my dog now that she is older too.
Say hello to Bailey.

put that collar on your neck and walk to the barrier... it'll be funny.

It's not an invisible fence and while it can be a 'shock' collar, I removed the prods and use it only with it's 'tone' warnings. When he's running around and decides he doesn't want to come back (or at least just thinks that he sees something really interesting), I simply press a button. A high-pitched noise is emitted and he returns to me. It's the only way I can really let him off a leash, since I live on a college campus.
I will say though that when I bought the collar, I placed it on my arm and tested the shock and quickly decided that I would never use it to shock Alex. Fortunately, the tonal warnings work wonders.
The shock on the lowest setting is not as bad as most like to make it out to be. While I have an actual fence and don't use a shock collar for my dog, I can see why it is a necessity for others and do not pass judgement upon those that do use it. People can argue the pros and cons about them all day long. Both sides have valid points.
