At 2:30 pm Sunday, a historical marker honoring Knute Rockne will be unveiled at the church in Sandusky, OH where Knute and his wife were married. His granddaughter Anne Rockne plans on attending.

Knute met his wife while working at Cedar Point during the summer.(Now some of you may have known this, and I did as well but did not know all the details). Knute was a college student at Notre Dame and obviously played football, but it was his innovation of the forward pass which he developed while playing on the beach at Cedar Point which transformed college football.

What I did not know was that Knute while coaching at Notre Dame in the 1920s, also sent memebers of his football team, including "The Four Horsemen" to work and practice at Cedar Point
