Calling it a $1 million cost-saving measure, Arizona State has cut men's swimming, men's tennis and wrestling. This leaves only two PAC 10 schools with wrestling programs now—Oregon State and Stanford.

axeme Wrote:If MAC football programs had to be self-sustaining to survive, there would be no football in the MAC. Whatever mild interest there is in MAC sports, it is not enough to pay the freight. Sometimes a MAC basketball team will run a profit, but rarely. It doesn't matter how much money you "bring in" if you send out more to do it.
