As a gender, we could use a slumpbuster

You know they make a little blue pill for that now. 05-stirthepot

Quote: men have the misfortune of being concentrated in the two sectors that are doing the worst: manufacturing and construction.

All I know is we can't find enough people with an engineering degree and good work experience backgrounds. At GM Hybrid we're hiring like crazy-if they have the right skill sets. They're not easy to come across, I'm telling you.
I'm in neither manufacturing nor construction and I know people who are in those fields who make almost 60% more than I do, and they don't have college degrees, either.

Waiting on a sunny day...
Well so much for that phony glass ceiling feminists are always talking about.

The glass ceiling is more about the math than about a secretive world of men paying men higher wages for the same work.

I've witnessed the phony glass ceiling on many occasion when I was in business.

Woman enters entry level position. Woman aspires for to in working in marketing in Manhattan by her 30th birthday. Woman busts azz. Woman gets married. Woman approaches 30. Woman realizes biological clock is ticking and has baby. Woman has baby, and decides the career doesn't mean squat to her, opting to stay at home with the baby....................meanwhile several males, unable to have said baby, pass her by on the wage scale, tilting the averages and creating the "ficticious" glass ceiling.

I doubt there is a human resources department in all of America, where the policy is to pay men doing the same job more than women doing identical work. It would be legal suicide.

There are more females in college today than males, yet I don't hear anyone worrying about that gender gap.

As a teacher I see far more females succeeding than I do males. The drop out rate among males is far higher than females, even with pregnancy built in to the equation.

I'm looking for a crutch or convenient excuse as to why I'm not a CEO. I don't think a glass ceiling can be blamed, but I'm still looking to blame something.
It's your own company. Call yourself whatever you want. CEO, Chief Bits and Bites, Head Snickerdoodle....................you're the man, titles are whatever you want them to be.
Bitching about the boss sucks though....
^ just don't get yourself fired.
