Sounds like a plan to me. There are excuses for our past performance especially 06/07. There will be no excuses from here on. We better dazzle them again this year to get a conditional waiver on further penalties. My money is on Mr. Mackin to get it done.

Quote: UAB has already shown considerable progress since the beginning of the school year. Every one of the 16 programs scored at least a 925 and seven of the programs had a perfect score of 1,000.

BTW, I disagree with those that think this is not a big deal.

Good post

Too bad the local media would rather bash UAB than talk about they already have a plan in place.

At least Irvine and Scarbinsky have a clue. The rest are without..........
I think the thing that would have helped is IF UAB had done a little PR before the report came out. They knew the numbers were going to be bad a few weeks ago. They should have put out a press release that stated such and that there was already a plan in place to correct the problems. I do wish Finebuam would get off of it. He even stated that he was embarrassed that he attended the first synchro meet. I just wonder what those wonderful young ladies did to piss him off???

Maybe they laughed at the size of his "package" when they saw him in his speedo trying to join them in the pool?????? Who the heck knows???

I think it was tried to a degree. There have been releases talking about us having over 100 athletes on the conference honor roll for the past two years. It even included a quote from the conference office if I am not mistaken.
However, it was lost in the very bottom of the snippetts that are posted near the crease of the paper where the daily stats are printed.
Negativity sells according to the Snews.

Even certain posters thrive on it.
