Obama may end up winning Indiana thanks to some strange vote totals from Lake County, Indiana (home of Gary and basically a suburb of Chicago).

If he does win, one of two things happen. Either the Clintons call foul and go even more ballistic than the Democrats did in 2000 after Florida. Or she just says screw it and concedes the nomination to Obama.

What a bizarre yet fascinating primary race.

No way in hell.
Clinton wins IN narrowly but she'll keep fundraising to pay off that $5 million campaign debt
Well he didn't win Indiana so I probably am wrong and Clinton will stay around some more. When the first results of that one wayward county came in, it appeared to be possible for him to win Indiana. But that was probably all of Gary, Indiana's vote and the rest of that county went for Clinton.
Clinton will begin to realize her political future is at stake as well. She could be Senate Majority leader. Governor of New York. If she drags this out and tries to steal the nomination it could be politically fatal.

I wonder how much bounce Clinton has recieved from Operation Chaos?
It doesn't look like Operation Chaos has had that big of an effect, at least yesterday. The crawl on Fox last night said that 11% of the voters in North Carolina Democratic primary were Republicans, with right around 50% voting for Clinton. Which means that the other 50% voted for Obama, cancelling each other out.

Actually it looks like only 45% voted for Obama (the rest must have written in Ron Paul). Still, it doesn't look like it had much of an effect.

Like I said, no way in hell:

NC isn't an open primary state. You have to switch your affiliation to unaffiliated or democrat to vote in the primary.

I doubt their stat is worth anything.
I think Clinton will stay in it until the convention. Reson I say this is she just donated $6 Million of her own money to keep her campaign running. She is in it for the duration, come hell or high water she will fight til the end. :patriot:
It is my hope that she stays in until the convention even though she would be behind in delegates...Then I hope the Superdingbats decide to make her the nominee...The riots in the streets will be entertaining.03-lmfao

Never trust a religion that encourages marriage to more than one woman. One is hard enough to deal with.

Operation Chaos saved Hillary in Indiana. As for Gary Indiana, I hope someone investigates how and why they were so late getting their returns in. As Bob Beckel remarked. "In Gary Indiana, its not a question of Obama winning, its by how much and Im sure someone is checking to see how much Obama needs"...

It's hard to find a definitive analysis, but it looks to me like Operation Chaos is typical Limbaugh hyperbole. In Pennsyvania the Rupublican cross-overs favored Obama, in North Carolina they were about split (slight edge to Clinton), and in Indiana they went for Clinton. I'm just not seeing any consistent pattern to suggest that it is having an effect.

And the idea isn't exactly new. The brother of one of my teachers in high school was cross-party registered precisely so he could always vote for the worst candidate in the primaries. It seems like Limbaugh is capitalizing on an existing phenomena (and one that doesn't really seem to be working at that), rather than creating one on his own.

Operation Chaos was never meant to pick a Democratic candidate. It was meant to draw out the Democratic primary for so long that by the time November rolled around, people would be tired of both of the D-clowns.

...and to sell T-Shirts and bumper stickers...... I bought the "combo pack" for my wife for her birthday.
If cross-over voters are not consistently voting the way that Limbaugh wants them to, and it appears that they are not, how can it be having an effect? Sometimes they add delegates to Obama, sometimes to Clinton. How does that extend the primary?

He's probably been more effective in the sales side of the equation, though.
