Hey guys and girls, has anyone ever been to the Bangkok Alley in Collierville? I'm tyring to find a new place to take my significant other for her birthday dinner. Whats the word on this restaurant? Thanks.
One of my favorites when I go back to Memphis to visit. Ok atmosphere but if you like Thai, it is very good.
Visited the Cordova location Saturday. Order the Thom Kao soup, very delicious. Then order either the Thai Pad or the Shrimp, Scallops and Grouper dish. Very good food...damn the atmosphere. Also, they only have wine, no mixed drinks.
I wish I could go there more. Thara Burana and his wife Dottie own the stores, which they started from scratch. They weren't even in the restaurant biz.
Thara is one of the most respected youth competitive soccer coaches in this region. That alone is reason for all of Memphis to flock.
Seriously, the chef they brought in is fabulous.
You are in for a treat.
Thanks guys.

TiggerFan, you seem to know a lot in the Memphis soccer world. May I ask who you are? Also, do you still play ball?
The Collierville one also serves sushi if you want that. It is a better environment than the Cordova one due to it being newer and more $$$ put in it. The food is good too. I'd recommend it.
I've only been to the one in Southaven and found it to be quite good and the place is appointed nicely. Pad Thai is excellent....love that stuff. Sushi is quite good. I've not been with anyone that didn't like what they got. Wife loves it. Big bar selection and seemingly a pretty good wine selection as well.
I always liked the one on Germantown Road, and found the atmosphere very nice, even if busy with people.
