Just found this place again so I' thought I would post our latest schedule for football. Looks like we have a full plate of decent teams this season. I'd like to see at least 2 upsets this season - I will be in attendance for 3 of the away games since they are close to Atlanta.
wku would look great in the MAC!

I appreciate your compliment but I don't think that the MAC is where we need to be. The geographic footprint is not right for us, the conference is not much better for us basketball-wise, we have natural rivals established in the SBC, there are a few MAC teams that aren't drawing the NCAA-legislated attendance numbers, even if the conference average attendance is about the same to that of the SBC, and IMHO the conferences are going in opposite directions at the moment. I am not trying to slam the MAC I am just thinking the MAC has peaked while the SBC is about to take off. I would like a few other bowl tie-ins however.

In the end it looked like WKU being denied admittance into the MAC was for the best. They would have only dragged our conference strength down in football and they'll have an easier time trying to compete in the much weaker Sun Belt (for basketball too).

7 MOUNTAIN WEST (A) = 70.68
8 MID-AMERICAN (A) = 65.26
9 WESTERN ATHLETIC (A) = 64.83
11 CONFERENCE USA (A) = 64.42
13 SUN BELT (A) = 59.94
