Ladies and gentlemen, the Dan Nicholson "era" is over. 02-13-banana
Yep, Ryan Morris

Agreed. It will be an upset if Harnish is NOT the starter come opening day.
Not based on what i saw today. Harnish did not look good passing the ball. Bad accuracy and overthrew the ball a lot, even on short and intermediate passes. None of the QB's did looked good passing today. But boy does DeMarcus Grady have some nice moves and good vision when he carries the ball. We need to use him like Florida used Tebow.
Harnish is going to be the starting QB. That much I am confident.
If Harnish starts it unfortunately means Dan cant go due to injury, and this year will be a loss in terms of being in contention for a divisional title. We just have to pray Nicholson is ready to go in time.

Nicholson is not a spread QB.

He is the most talented guy throwing the ball on the roster but he isn't capable of running Kill's full offense effectively. I'm not to say they couldn't cut back on the playbook and use more traditional plays with Nicholson in there but he isn't nearly mobile enough to run a good number of the plays they ran on Saturday.

Maybe so but Kill will adjust to what he has the first 2 seasons before he gets the kind of players he wants. You dont just throw away a season because you dont have the players for your system, you adjust to the players somewhat. If NIU had no talent returning, Id say sure, go ahead and throw this season away and give inexperienced players experience at key positions. But NIU has too much talent to dismiss this year. Kill knows that, no news flash there.

Kill is going to player that gives the team the best chance to win. The end.

Bingo.

But then again is Harnish a capable passer? Didn't appear so but the weather was awful out there.

And Nicholson is probably the best passer when HEALTHY. I'm not sure he is going to heal up in time.

This is going to be a fun battle in the summer.
