Like Steinmann, the 21-year-old Collins Hill grad had played in the W-League before and was thrilled to have a chance to join the Silverbacks. But McCarty said she isn’t interested in playing overseas and instead will enroll in graduate school at Washington University of St. Louis in late August.
McCarty graduated with a 3.94 grade-point average in psychology — she made just two B’s in college, one in public speaking and one in small groups — and hopes to earn her master’s degree in occupational therapy. If her schedule allows, she hopes to continue her playing career with the Silverbacks in the future.
