Last I heard it still has not been approved yet...

Its not.. but highly unlikely it gets turned down. has the location, TV, and conf in place.
What does this bowl pay, I'm thinking it starts out paying 350,000. after bowl gets it feet on the ground, payment will increase. Bowl needs 1 million to attract C-USA #2 or ACC #7. 1.5 million to attract B-12 #7
no talk of pay.. but I imagine you may be right on first year. Depends on what they can find sponsorship wise.. My guess is with it being in tampa.. they will get it to 750k pretty quickly.
According to CFN projections, this game looks like UCF - Rutgers. That would get this bowl off to a good start. Will the local from St Pete support this bowl
Ucf will travel big time to this bowl.. Its only a 2 hour ride from orlando.

New CUSA line up
Liberty
Gmac
St Pete
Nawlins
Texas ( houston)
Armed forces(fort worth.)
Armed Forces is in Ft Worth
C-USA is in great shape with bowls now, Liberty & Texas bowl drew 62,000 last yr. Armed Forces, St Pete & GMAC are all capable selling out, especially with right matchups. If C-USA can find away get people into the NO bowl. Somebody has to play Sun Belt, might as well be there champ & in NO. I like the fact that C-USA plays 6 different conf in that lineup.
