Lettered four years in both basketball and baseball • Led team to a 22-4 record as a senior and averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks shots per game • Also helped team to the Area Consulation/Regional and District Champions in both 2005 and 2006, as well as regional and district champs in 2007 • Also led the Red Devils to the Cherokee Tournament Championships three-straight years (2005, 2006, 2007) • Helped lead Ringwood to consecutive state tournament appearances for the first time in 35 years • Recorded five triple-doubles (points, rebounds, blocks) • In 2½ seasons recorded 336 blocked shots • As a senior, was named a McDonalds All-American nominee and a numerous player of the year awards (Cherokee Strip Conference, Orient Conference, Coaches Aid Preseason, and Cherokee Tournament Most Valuable • Played on the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association (OBCA) all-state teams junior and senior years • Selected for to pair all-star teams, Orient Conference and Cherokee Strip Tournament teams.

Patterson, from Ringwood, Okla., appeared in 14 games during the 2007-08 season, his true freshman year at CU. While he played in nine non-conference games, the lanky big-man saw action in only five Big 12 contests.
