I missed the first quarter, but I did see #25 (Brock Ferguson) pick off two passes. One of the interceptions was thrown by Joseph Webb. Otherwise, I thought Webb looked real good. He had some very nice runs when the receivers were not open. He threw several TD passes as well.

I thought #37 (Emmanuel Allen) ran the ball well.

So did Barnett & Murrell. All three showed big play potenial as dual threats. I hated the way it was set up ,cause the white really couldn't score. ( I know numbers.)
They gave out roster sheets at the turnstiles, so the number and name thing shouldn't have been that hard. Today was the first time I was really aware of Emmanuel Allen, transfer from UTK. He's small but quick, and caught a couple of very nice passes out of the backfield.

We threw more to the tight end today than in most seasons in recent memory.

The green vs. white setup was due to lack of numbers. It was kinda screwy, all defense on one side of the field, all offense on the other. Not enough players to really make up two full teams. This led to things like the White team (defense) intercepting a pass and returning it inside the five, only to see the Green (offense) score the TD against them.

Webb looked pretty sharp overall. He's got good pocket awareness and he's tough to stop when he takes off out of the pocket. He threw the ball well and hit Frantrell Forrest for a couple of pretty TD passes.

We ran the ball better than I expected. On the other hand the defense looked suspect. Injuries have thinned them a bit and they were not deep to start with.
I thought Murrell looked the best out of all the running backs. I haven't seen him listed on any rosters yet, so I don't know anything about him.(Irvine, please help04-cheers) I have been seeing him but I never knew who he was. He was the leading rusher in the second scrimmage, behind Webb. He had one play that he was going to break by cutting across the field, but he stepped out of bounds. Brooks, and Allen looked good to. It's good to have options at that position.

Slaughter dropped a few passes today. He looks like he is struggling to play his new position. And I haven't seen #24 catch anything yet. What is his problem.

But he is certainly a decoy. I see what you're saying though especially
since he was mostly matched up with bow wow.
I sure hope #24 (Cameron Thompson) matures as a WR. Wouldn't it be great to throw to a 6-6 receiver?
