I think these lunches are great--connecting us, the fans and supporters, with other "notables" who are integral to the operations of UAB athletics. I think this is a very cool and unique thing that probably only a handful of school's fans have access to. Definitely couldn't do this with Bammers and Saban...they would be fighting each other to the death, clamoring to get just a small drink of the golden nectar from his $4M scepter of righteousness.

But wouldn't it be nice to have such a large amount of fan support that once word leaked out about who would be joining the lunch that you couldn't find a parking spot for 2 blocks and you would have to get there about 2 hours early to get a seat?
Touche! I don't know, I just like all of you guys because unlike bandwagon Bammers, we're all here for the same reason-to support our institution at every chance!
I might be able to take a long lunch and make it...
