I have some friends coming into town this weekend and I want to ask this.

Is it worth the drive and 5 bucks to drive down to Graceland 2. Would alcohol help to make the whole experience less creepy.

Let me know your experiences with this valuable piece of Mississippi culture
Alcohol would be highly suggested!

Alas, I grew up in a dry county in the country with all that entails. The driver won't be driving. I keep it safe.

It would be pissing in the face of the King. You don't want to do that. Take them to Graceland, Tupelo or the Rock n Soul Musuem.

If you do take them to Graceland II, then take lysol and flea collars.

I was disappointed.
Most of what the guy says is BS. The tour is long, but funny and entertaining. Worth experiencing at least once.
I would suggest drinking and not going all the way to New Albany to see it. (Stop in Holly Springs).
Considering DeSoto and Marshall are the only 2 counties in MS you'll be in (assuming you go 78 and not 55-4-7), I don't think being in a dry county will be a problem.

A place to go when you've been drinking and want a good story. Students from Ole Miss and Mississippi State and Memphians have been known to make a trip down to cap off the night.

"Graceland Too" is well worth the 5 bucks.

It's quite the experience. It's not about the Elvis memorablia, although there is a lot of it, its about the Paul McCloud factor.

its also not pissing in the face of the king as someone said earlier, its a guy who is making an incredible tribute to Elvis. He will tell you that if he could die so Elvis came back, that he would do it in a heart beat.

I don't think you NEED alcohol to make it fun either. If you can't enjoy an hour at Graceland Too while sober, you've got a big alcohol problem, or you don't have a fun personality at all.

You'll be talking about if for days, this guy is hilarious. Ask him if he likes coke or pepsi.
Definitely have a few drinks just to laugh at this clown in Holly Springs but I'll warn you he doesnt have a bathroom to use so go outside-the neighbors love it. Its definitely worth the $5. About 15% is true and the other 85% is BS which makes it funny b/c this guy is just nuts. He also loves to hit on the ladies.
Lived in Memphis my whole life and have never been to Graceland #1. Never even knew there was a Graceland #2.
We have seen pictures of the guy. He seems like someone who would have concrete pit in the basement. I don't want anyone telling me "it puts the lotion on its skin."

I will probably not be drinking beforehand, but since its one of my friends birthday he will probably be nicely toasted.
I've never been to Graceland One.

I've been to GracelandToo 6 or 7 times.

I do not regret this decision.
It was definitely worth the trip. We enjoyed every minute of it. Even at 3 in the morning there was almost a dozen people there.
