It was written on the Louisville Courier Journal website that after the game Coach Williams went to David Padgett and said, "See, I told you that you should have stayed at Kansas." I can't imagine that he would say something like that. I'm not sure I believe it. It's the first I've heard of this.
You never know, but I find that hard to believe.
If he said it, doesn't make sense if it is in the context of "You coulda went to a Final Four". Kansas had yet to play until the next day.
If Padgett stayed at KU, he wouldn't have been playing at UofL this year. On the flip side, he could have taken part in great KU flops vs. Bucknell and Bradley.
He also wouldn't have had a transfer year meaning that he would have been a senior last season and wouldn't have been part of this year's team at Kansas.

as someone who went to KU during the Roy Williams years.....I feel free to tell you that he is a classless POS. Even KU fans didnt like him....of course he fits like a glove amongst Carolinians

That's still kind of classless to say that to a player after a tough loss, jokingly or not, if he said it. Imagine if your house burned down and a friend of yours came over to you, patted you on the back and said "see, I told you that you should have bought the house down the street".

Wasn't he pulling some kind of stunt of "talking" to his players after he was at North Carolina job? And I don't just mean a friendly "what's up, play hard and stay strong" type of conversation either.
