Ben Braun.
the coach of the Cal Bears will be leading his 17-15 team to Ohio State tonight for the 2nd round of the NIT. I believe that Braun has a year left on his contract and may be looking to get out before the axe comes down.
Don't be surprised if Braun is a candidate for the Toledo job after Cal's season is over.
Do you think he will pull a Steve Alford, resign before Cal dumps him and take a job at a smaller conference? There have been rumblings out of Berkeley for the last couple seasons.
I would love to see Braun in Toledo. If he truly is a candidate, I would put him on my short list along with Gary Waters, Tony Jones, Montgomery from MSU, and Groce from OSU.

There are some Braun fans around here who might be willing to help put up some money to meet his salary requirements. As for Tony Jones, I like him and would put him on the list to interview, but there are some people around here who remember an incident involving some players that he should have informed Stan about and it isn't clear that he was going to. That makes them Leary of him. I'd at least interview him if it were my decision.

I wouldn't want Jones asour HC. Thats a road, I think no one wants to travel with the kinds of kids he recruits.

I'm of a mind that we should hire the young lady on Karl's avatar. I think she would give the attendance boost we're looking for. Don't know how much we'd win but still....
Tony Jones has too many skeletons in his closet. From the kids he recruits to extra cirricular activities.
We do not want to touchthis guy with a 10 foot pole.

Cal's fans' knock on Braun is that the game is now more guard oriented and Cal's guard play has been in the bottom of the PAC 10.
Cal fans are fed up with Braun's excuses at this point.
Apparently even the Cal players have no respect for Braun and want him gone.This program has talent but seems to have gotten out of control.What a mess!The Cal fans are brutal!
