No gametracker or radio as far as I'm aware of.

Conference play is finally upon us and what that means for the Huskies is baseball played in frigid temperatures. Tomorrow will be exactly that with temps in the mid to low 30's.

Probably Pitching Matchup
(G1) - NIU RHP Trevor Feeney (0-2, 5.12) vs. UB RHP Jeffrey Hains (1-1, 2.01)

(G2) - NIU LHP Adam Holdenrid (2-1, 3.12) vs. UB RHP Mark Tourangeau (1-1, 7.36)

-I'm very glad to see that Holdenrid has been bumped up to the #2 spot in the rotation.

-Hopefully Feeney can get back on track after a rough outing against Texas Tech last time out.

-Should be a pitchers weekend with the cold temps.

Analysis
Don't give up on the Huskie baseball team yet. If you look around the MAC, only 2 teams have records above .500 (WMU and Miami OH). Those two teams haven't played near the caliber of teams that NIU has played.

Buffalo has one common opponent with NIU this year and that is SIU. They split a pair of 1 run games a couple weeks back.

Huskies need to take advantage of playing 2 of the weaker teams in the conference to start off the season (Buffalo and Bowling Green).

I think that's where i differ with many Huskie fans. I wouldn't give up on them.

They have yet to play a single home game, that's ridiculous. 17 straight road games before coming home for a measly two games. I dunno how any team can play that many road games and come up with better than a .500 record.

Unless your from a southern state, you're pretty much guaranteed to play 17 straight on the road. There are tournaments in Florida where all the northern teams get together and play each other but the competition isn't as good.

This years team is top 3 talent wise. It should be a fun year.
BALLIN

Can't wait for these games.
Today's high in Buffalo - 36
Tomorrow - 30 with snow showers.

Why do you schedule such a series in Buffalo this time of year. I know it could be 60 and sunny, but this is why it is so tough to compete in outdoor sports this time of year up north.

This game is part of the MAC schedule.. it's out of NIU's hands. To be fair, you can't make Buffalo play their first 9 MAC games on the road. Just like it would be unfair to make the Cubs, Six, Indians, Cardinals, etc play their first 14 games on the road. This weather absolutely sucks for baseball but I've played in colder (19 degrees and sleeting).
It's unpossible to follow these games!
Huskies win the opener 10-3, with 8 runs in the 7th. Now that's get the 2nd game. Complete game for Feeney and Mathey becomes our all-time winningest head coach.
