I saw this thread yesterday, and I went back to check it out. Funny how a couple of these guys trash everyone in the BE from Nova to Uconn and Gtown. They really just thought it was going to be a cakewalk to the Sweet 16.

I had to add a little comment. I'll probably be banned if they have mods that are miffed with the loss. No profanity, but it may do the trick!
Yeah, Clemson fans of all fans saying that the Big East overrated! Amazing. By the way, Clemson coach Oliver Purnell took a shot at the Big East a couple of years ago saying something along the line that the ACC was the real quality conference not the Big East, or something along those lines.
I knew ACC fans were myopic, but that's taking it to a whole new level. Our eighth best team beat their third place team and they won't STFU.

You know how people like to knock the Big 11 as the "Big Two"? (Ohio State and Michigan and a bunch of mediocre teams). That's what the Awfully Crappy Conference is: two big teams and a whole bunch of garbage. And even Dook isn't that good.

I'd love to hear Dickie V babeee. His mighty ACC going down all around the place. The Dukies barely getting out alive and he wanted more ACC teams in the tournament.
The truth is NC Tar Heels had only two losses this year to Maryland and to Duke. But NC also had no quality wins outside of wins over Duke and Clemson. Clemson took them to overtime twice and lost by four in the ACC title game. NC's only out of conference win by a currently playing NCAA team was their first game over Davidson- (by four points!) other than that, they played nobody OOC and their conference was pretty weak.
Personally, I think Duke got the wake up call and will come out strong in round two- It's going to be a good game. But NC may be way overrated or it's not their fault there were not more giants on their schedule. How did they know the ACC would bo so weak.
As the top team in the tournament, I can't judge their talent because of the weak match-ups they've had all year, but judging from Villanova's comeback against Clemson, NC is really untested.
I think we're heading for a real interesting tournament in the NCAAs.

But is says duke and north carolina on their jerseys. ESPN declares that to mean that no one can beat them and they deserve a top ranking every season. It's blasphemy to speak otherwise.

What I found funny was one of the announcers, I think it was Tim Brando (a BIG SEC homer), who was in total disbelief that Villanova had overcome the deficit and was an actual threat to win the game.

Ah, for the good old days when announcers at least tried to be neutral.

Go Big East! Great first two days, now let's try to get at least 4 into the Sweet 16.

I checked back and they deleted my comment within 5 minutes last night, but actually did not ban me, so I have to say their mods have restraint. Here's what I posted:

Great game tonight guys! How do you see yourselves matching up with those guys from Siena?

The ESPN radio guys doing the NCAA Tournament are great. They're neutral and they make the game exciting.

Yeah, they're deleting all of the negative posts. Pretty ironic after the way they harassed the Villanova fans who didn't even go over to the Clemson board.

Talk about thin skins. It's Clemson for goodness sakes. Their fans are acting like they're Maryland or one of the Tobacco Road schools or something. Hilarious.
