I don't ever remember a team getting a two week bye during the season. But EMU has one. After our game with them on November 1st, they don't play again until November 22 at Temple. Then they play CMU for the last game of the year.
I noticed that too. You got to wonder what they are thinking? Did you also notice, no ford field game for the Eagles this year. I guess we stole that game from them.
The attendance for that game really feel off in recent years. Last years game w/ Northwestern drew about as much as a typical EMU home game would. They needed to make it a Michigan MAC thing because they got decent crowds for CMU, and WMU but when they brought in Navy and Northwestern it was sparse at best.
All EMU MAC games should be away games. As it is the visiting crowd usually outdraws the homefolks. We'll all guarantee them a 100k if they play at the visitors place, which has to be more than they'd ever make off the game.
I don't mind playing @EMU. It takes like 2 hrs off of my usual drive time to a game and until last season a guaranteed W.
