...brought 3 co-workers to the game that have never been. They really enjoyed it and wished it wasn't the last game of the season. I just wish there were at least another 1,500 there. The crowd was loud when it needed to be (especially for Frank). I'm buying season tickets for next year regardless of any speculation (THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE). :cheers:to a near perfect home record this season and a perfect one next year.

I brought one friend and he thoroughly enjoyed the game.

GO BLAZERS!
I brought a friend to his 2nd game this season and he's buying conference tourny tickets! He's even listened to our past few road games on the radio.
I brought 3 to the game. All are bammers, but I've managed to get them to Blazer basketball. They will gladly call themselves Blazer basketball fans...

...baby steps
I sent two people in my place. Combined, they still did not yell as loudly as I would have.
I took two consultants of mine to the game last night. They asked earlier in the season but this just happened to be the game where all our schedules came together.

They are both civil engineering graduates from Bama. I told them last week that they would have to wear green in order to sit in the GreenHouse section.

Last night they came in the Green and Gold room wearing new Blazer attire they picked up at Snoozy's yesterday afternoon. They were overwhelmed with the set up in the G&G room. I introduced them to several folks and explained how they took the time to "suit up" for the Blazers. They were warned by Lee Moon, Brian Mackin and Jake Lemon about the possible consequences of sitting near the GreenHouse. They began to wonder what they had gotten themselves into.

We then headed out for the game and walked to the seats. They loved the Bartow Arena set up and how close we were to the court. I won't go into their comments about the Golden Girls except to say they were of a "positive" nature.

Once the game started they realized that sitting quietly was not an option. We had a ball the entire game. One thing I told them before the game was that Robert Vaden typically comes to life in the second half.

I won't go into game specifics but, needless to say, Robert did not make a liar out of me. What a game for Blazer fans and new Blazer fans.

Once the game ended we went into the G&G room where they assured me they were ready and their company would purchase season tickets and join the Blazer Club next (football also). They got one of Jake's business cards and are to contact him to make reservations immediately.

Finally, they went out on the court after the game to meet some players and coach Davis. They couldn't believe how cool it was to meet Frank, Robert, AJ and the gang. They also met Attalla, UAB Band Dad and a few others.

Their hooked!04-rock

Futhermore, I've been hearing several people saying they're getting season tickets for next year.

No true sports nut can resist the phenomena that is Green House at a Blazer game. Nice job Dave!
BlazerDave, you are the man!
I didn't go last night, but I gave my season tickets to a friend who is an Auburn grad, and he took his wife and her friend. They didn't sit in my seats, but they enjoyed the game, and he said he'd go back next year if Vaden returns.

He's the kind of person that can help UAB a lot by supporting our team even though he will always be an Auburn fan (and he should be since he went to AU). Since he lives in the Bham metro area, he would support UAB sometimes. That's not ideal because we'd love to have our die-hard fanbase fill the arena, but we should be respectful towards the Aubies and Bammers that come out to support us. Who knows, their kids may grow up watching UAB and decide to be Blazers!

I just wish they wouldn't their teams attire at OUR game.

I think that's being disrespectful toward UAB03-banghead,
and low class as well

I've said before, I'll be respectful, not make fun of their over-alls, then take their money.

Think of it as a good-natured ribbing opportunity.

I saw a guy with one of those stupid houndstooth ball caps.

I smiled big, and said, "Had to get out and catch a good basketball team tonight?"

He laughed, rolled his eyes, and said, "Yeah."

I've never met you, I don't know who you are, and I've never encountered you online at the BlazerTalk or C-USAbbs boards before. But I likes ya!

Nope. I just make 'em sign a waiver. 03-lmfao
Anybody who does not have season tickets for next year better get a move on. The good seats are going to go fast.
I'm adding 2 more blazerclub seats

OldBlazer, I live in Memphis. I am a college basketball fan. Occasionally, if I come across tickets, I go to Tiger games to watch them play whoever. I do not cheer for the Tigers or the other team. I just go because I love college basketball. I wear my UAB shirt. Am I disrespectful toward Memphis and being low class???????

What is your purpose for wearing UAB attire
while attending a UM event?
Certainly, it isn't the only shirt you own.
Have you not considered SOME UM fans may think the same
as I [in that regard] when they spot UAB on your clothing?
Do YOU notice people attending UAB events while wearing
another teams' apparel?
What are your thoughts when you see another teams' clothing [not the opponent of the day] at a UAB affair?

just my opinion
