Over the weekend the Eastern Michigan men captured their 12th MAC Indoor Track Championship and the men's swimming team claimed their second straight MAC championship at the MAC/Sun Belt Championships in Nashville.

The combined meet was scored as one meet, but student-athletes and teams from each conference were recognized separately. The top three finishers from each conference were awarded medals and the top teams from each conference was named their respective champion.

Also, the EMU women's golf team won the Red Rocks Invitational Sunday finishing ahead of Western Michigan and host Northern Arizona. Now if only EMU could win at some of the sports that people actually follow.

Congrats on the track win. AGAIN! And I knew about it before you posted because I DO follow track and field, even though Toledo no longer has a men's team. EMU is my default men's favorite because when I ran for UT they had a great bunch of guys there- always enjoyed hanging with them.

From the link to the Sun-Belt site, there are only 4 men's MAC teams. The Sun-Belt only has 3. MSU, SIU, and Evan are MVC schools.

My guess is that either a new "conference" will form or the MAC schools will joining the Sun-Belt for this. Too bad. Another Title IX and D-1 football casulty.
