These same teams split a doubleheader yesterday. New Mexico State overcame an 15-4 deficit to win the first game 24-19. Ball State overcame 6-1 deficit to win the second game 12-6. The hitting is obviously way ahead of the pitching and defense at this early point of the season. The most significant factor in today's game is that after trailing 25-15 after 5 innings, Ball State pitchers gave up no runs and only one hit in the last 4 innings allowing the Card hitters time to come back with 11 runs of their own to take the win. How about that, sports fans?
