Kent's down 7 with 2:00 to play at BG. I don't like seeing a MAC top 25 lose the first week they're ranked, but it keeps the Broncos' hope alive for a regular season conference title.04-cheers
This may be the day that the possible two bids for the MAC died. BG has had control of that game pretty much the entire way.

But it does present a great opportunity for the Broncos. Nothing really changes for us - we MUST win at Toledo which we all know won't be easy.

I fear that a KSU loss today drops them out of the top 25. Voters are fickle and will rationalize that it is "just the MAC." Never mind that this conference is as competitive as any around. That fact would be trumpeted as a positive for the ACC, Big 11, etc. It is seen as a negative in our league.
yup, KSU out of the top 25. But I do think they will get in the big dance if they don't win the Conf. Tourney. But only if they win at least 1 of the final 2 games of the regular season, and win a couple in the conference tourney.
Definately bad for the MAC in terms of perception, the fact remains that KSU won a big OOC game, but as it goes in the MAC, our teams eat their own. Dammit.

They've gotta win them both now...

Thinking the same. My take is: Here's BG just beating KSU who spanked St. Marys at St. Marys. What a tough conference the MAC is.

But no, the grass is greener on the BCS side of the fence. It must mean KSU went "buck wild" with no sense of what they were doing or did and that St. Mary's was caught looking ahead to Gonzaga.01-wingedeagle

I can't change the BCS mindset, but in reading the mid major stuff you have some asking if, "SIU with 14 loses should be considered for an at-large. Davidson is on the "fence" because their conf. is weak, but my my, they really gave Tobacco Road a hoe, so their in!"

Wait, I know doing homework may be too much to ask, but WMU beat both. They didnt lose, WMU beat them. Then they give IUPUI a left handed compliment. That said, using any modicum of logic, IUPUI should be being lauded equally if not better than Davidson or SIU. It's nuts.
I was hoping that the perception would be "What a tough conference the MAC is", but we all know better.
