That's a good plan. Nice that the state might be willing to pay for it. Of course- this requires the money to actually get out of the legislature.
Great news and plan.
U of I will probably whine that they aren't getting the money.
"A new state-of-the-art classroom building will be built on the site and named Memorial Hall."

Hey I said this already in another thread! Just call me Lord Cyberdawg Nosterdamous.
I'm pleased to hear this. I would like to see Cole Hall quietly bulldozed down once spring semester concludes.
This helps to make my day better.

I have never been inside Cole and never will be.

All I know is if construction on the new building doesn't start quickly and we're stuck waiting for the money- Blago will have moved from merely sucking at being a governor and being dirty.

Well in the greatest tradition of Illinois Governors, now Blago might get indicted.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Cole Hall was getting pretty old as is, I can't imagine we would have used it more then 10 more years, but then again Still Gym is still used for something.

So true.

I may forgive a sliver of his slimeyness if he delivers.

Might be in jail!
"state of the art facility"

Can never have too many of those.
How about that funding for the Stevens Building we've been trying to get forever now? Let's take care of both at the same time.
What is taught in the Steven's building? Where is the Steven's building ? I'm always surprised after my 4 years on campus how many buildings I never had to even go to for classes. In any case it will be nice for the liberal arts classes to catch up in terms of class room quality (compared to Barsema, Engineering building)
