How many students I talked basketball on campus today that were completely oblivious to the game Saturday or our current ranking. It's high time Kent State students GET RID OF THOSE UGLY BABY BLUE SWEATSHIRTS. North Carolina is 600 miles South!
I feel the the opposite. I have went to most of the games this year and now everyone is catching the fever and jumping on the bandwagon. I think the Miami game will be packed bc so many students have heard what is going on.
that might change today. doesn't the stater have its first edition of the week on tues? that will hopefully break the news to campus, eventhough with school cancled, the commuters won't be on campus.
You weenies got a snow day?!?! Why back in my day, we never got snow days!
You just hitched the mules up to the front of the Loop buses and off we went! Buncha babies!

Ah, the Loop buses. SIGH - what memories! I'll age myself here - I used to catch the 7:00 am campus bus from in front of O'Neils (now Macy's) at Sto-Kent Plaza to get to my 7:45 am Geology class in McGilvrey, and was usually late because there would be a train downtown - because there was no Haymaker Pkwy then!!

You mean Haymaker Parkway wasn't always there??? I don't ever remember it not being there! How did 59 go through town without it? Main Street?
The Stater is 5 days a week now. There was a massive spread on the front cover yesterday.

Nope - I'm pretty sure it opened in 1975 or 1976. The way to campus from the west was Main St., and you could always count on a train if you were running late!
Anyone walking through the M.A.C. Center yesterday afternoon around 3 p.m. would have had a chance at a very encouraging view.

All athletic practices were cancelled due to the snow day. It's a somewhat new university rule. Anyway, after I got out of my meeting with Jim Christian and Laing Kennedy, I walked through the gym and almost the entire team was in there, in practice uniforms, running drills on their own with players running the show.

That's the kind of maturity and desire I remember in the 2002 and 2006 teams.

Great little tidbit that only you could pass to us. Many thanks, God, I love this group of guys.
