O,
I posted an OT that UC credit rating had been down graded and asked if others could confirm. It is true. The UC rating did decline. It is still investment grade, but it was downgraded about a month ago. The slide was directly related to its debt ratio. THey are also working to improve their cash position.
And now you understand why talk of big projects like Nippert expansion and a new BB arena are wastes of energy unless you get a monster private donor. We should consider ourselves lucky if the athletic department finds the money for the indoor practice facility.
I would strongly suggest that an easy way to decrease that debt is to create a Bob Huggins museum on Campus. Take a vacant floor in a building and fill it with UC - Huggs memorabilia, charge $20, have a cash bar, etc. All proceeds go to debt reduction.
UC casino and Fishnet museum
One way to alleviate some of the debt would be to get rid of Nancy.....
How about Monica the attorney... NOT attorney.... now.... or whatever she is now???
Monica from the article:

"Monica Rimai, senior vice president for administration and finance."
