I dont know. Troy has a pretty good band even if all they can really do is play loud. I'm not going to get into comparing Troy vs UAB's band, but I do think this will be the best UAB's band has been in some time (if not ever).

i know that i dont speak for everyone, but who gives a rats nuts about the band? to me they're just there to have some music while i go to the bathroom.

most bands actually lead the cheers more than the cheerleaders do.
i know when the million dollar band strikes up Rammer Jammer, that it gets a much bigger response from the crowd than anything the cheerleaders can do.

It's true at UAB too, Crimson. Our band starts more cheers than the cheerleaders do. The band will start it and the cheerleaders will be turned around watching the game... then they'll turn around and look at the band with this "deer in the headlights" look...eventually they join in.

sounds like the cheerleaders and band need to get on the same page. if they worked together, then they would both be more effective in leading the crowd.

our cheerleaders are useless. the crowd would start a cheer and they would catch on and join in. waste of scholarship money.
