It is a nice gesture. It has to be McDonough. [/align]
I have tickets to the game sunday, going to have to skip teh autographed hawks jersey, and go with on of my NIU hockey jerseys instead.
This is going to be amazing. Im going, got my standing room only ticket yesterday. Probably gonna go wednesday too since we wont be back to school yet. Ill be wearing my new authentic Toews jersey, and probably some type of NIU hat. That moment of silence is going to be very touching
Just a note to those who may be interested: The tuesday Blackhawks game is on Versus. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it is on any national/semi-national channel on Wed.
I am going to the game in St. Louis Tuesday since I am here, and I am going to get down to the bench and just find someone to say thanks, be it a player, coach, or trainer. This means a lot
BTW, I saw on channel 5 news that Ozzie and Kenny Williams were wearing NIU hats at spring training today.

I was amazed that it got quiet for the moment of silence, it was absolutely quiet. Ususally there is some doofus who makes noise.

Nice helmet shot!
I don't care if anyone saw it, the fact that they did it--and the moment of silence, says a lot about the new Hawks mentality. RIP Bill Wirtz, but Rocky, rock on!
Yep, great gestures by both the Blackhawks and White Sox. I read in the Trib that Kenny W & Ozzie were wearing NIU hats today to honor those slain.
Very classy moves by both the 'Hawks and the Sox. Maybe the Bulls can do something to honor NIU once they start the 2nd half of their season.

i just got tickets for tomorrow nights game in St. Louis, I will be wearing my NIU hat with my blues jersey and am going to find a way to try and say thanks to someone from the organization be it bringing a sign or something

Try to get a sign in if possible(don't know what the regulations are) thanking the Blackhawks. The game is on Versus tomorrow I believe so there should be a decent number of people watching.
