Ah, what could have been-

A.J. Jackson, a transfer from East Tennessee State University, scored 16 points today in Robert Morris' 73-65 victory against St. Francis.

It should be said that this was St. Francis of New York, but, really, that goes without saying. St. Francis of Pennsylvania would never lose a game by as many as eight points.

For the season Jackson, a senior, is averaging more than 14 points a game and 5.5 rebounds. He also leads the Colonials in blocked shots.

The Colonials victory was their ninth straight, giving them a 21-6 record.

I just thought you'd like to know.

No, actually I wanted to brag on a guy from Western Pennsylvania (Monessen, home of the Greyhounds, former heavyweight champ Michael Moorer, and the steel mill in Robocop) and a Western Pennsylvania school.
Here's an article on Jackson from the greatest newspaper in the world-

Now, you want to talk about the job DeChellis did at ETSU, here's YET ANOTHER of his recruits leading his team to the NCAAs.

Nuckles last year. Wadood and Fields for two years after a one-year hiatus.

Tain't shabby.

Nuckles lead us to the NCAA's last year? Hmm I thought that was the NIT. ..
Check out the copy editing skills on RodShaw!

Of course, the same can be said of your delisions that you were a player on the team when you use the word "us," but I digress.

If that is true that I share the same delusion as 99% of sports fans around the world.
Hardly.

Most sports fans get out of the "us" and "we" after they hit 17.

The world ain't made up of Larry Munsons.

Fixed your post for your but that make it correct. Nuckles did lead ETSU to the NIT last year and thats where Jackson is going this year.

Well, that's better than ETSU.
Don't forget Tirade, who was second in the league in scoring, was MVP of the Sun Belt tournament when he transferred down to the Ragin' Cajuns, and led them to the NCAAs.Tirade
Tirade pulled a knife on a teammate too. He was a whack job here when he didn't take his medicine. I'm glad for AJ, but the fact is he would have been gone last year had he not transferred. Would he have made the difference in the Belmont game from last season?
Also, on the we and us business, you hear it from adult fans everywhere.
For anybody that has toiled 4 years through a degree program (and dumped good money into the university), I think they've earned a right to use "us". Not saying I'm anywhere near the equal to a player, but my tax dollars + my tuition & contribution to the campus make me a part of the campus.
Chat & Lover- I can go a lot of ways on this, but just go back to that Wonder Years episode when the star forward snaps at Kevin Arnold after a big loss when Kevin tries to console him with "We almost had 'em!"
