and I saw it. It was just so weird... I never noticed so many people doing it last year. Am I the only one who saw this? What are these people thinking?
Hell. I got one better than that. There was a old man behind me throughout the whole game hollering "Alabama, Roll Blazers". The entire game. I was mad at first, but, just started laughing afterwards. He was serious. :loco:
I agree. I will admit there is a certain percentage of JSU fans that do the same, but I think UAB has a mich bigger problem with that.
Hahahaha, the crazy old black man? If that's the guy you're talking abou then yeh, he was killing me.
Many of the ones I saw wearing Bama stuff were JSU fans... probably doesnt account for all the Bama gear, but there are always folks like that... maybe they'll get the picture some day.
That was the guy.... I give him credit though, he was hollering and the like, just leave the "Alabama" alone.
The worst I saw was the parent of a UAB player coming out of the parent's tent wearing a uat polo shirt. Pissed me off.
What?
Tony, I think I saw you before the game. didn't you have on a white UAB hat on and taking some pictures of the alumni tent and the like?
Why? Because Bama is 3-0. Apparently some of the bandwagons went down Graymont and a few bandwagon fans fell off at Graymont.

This is a problem that will increase if Bama continues to stay undefeated. Bandwagon fans (BWF) will be out in droves. It might actually help our attendance. BWF watches Alabama win, wants to see more football and puts on the crimson and white and heads out to Legion field.

I don't think Alabama has had a decent season since UAB went D1-a, have they?
The reason you are seeing people at UAB and JSU games wearing Bama and Auburn gear:

You can't find UAB or JSU gear at the Goodwill or Salvation Army store it never gets throw out with the trash.

Hey, give these folks a break. As long as they aren't actively pulling agianst the Blazers, I don't care what they wear. In order to significantly increase our attendence over the next few years, we are going to have attract a number of fans that consider Alabama their favorate team. To get these folks to adopt UAB as their second favorite team would be a major accomplishment. If they want to wear their Alabama T-shirts with their Blazer caps, that is fine with me.
Well I'm sick and tired of seeing Bama gear at UAB games. I saw a couple deck out in Bama shirts and hats and if you're supporting UAB that is totally uncalled for.

I know why they do it; they want to show as Bama fans they support UAB. Which is the reason everytime I go to Bama (Niece goes there and a very good friend of mines is the Asst Dean of Student Affairs) I make a point to wear UAB stuff.

Hell, I even went to the student bookstore at UA asking for UAB stuff. It was funny. I asked where the UAB stuff was at and they said this is UA. I then said if UAB and UAH are extensions of UAT then they should carry our stuff as well. Needless to say my niece was trying to get me the hell out of that place ASAP!

Point is, I have attended two Bama football games (UT in 2002 and some scrub team) and neither time have I worn UAB stuff. Why would I wear a UAB shirt to a Bama game? I just don't get it. I know this is trivial to some but I just can't stand it. It's ass-backward and country. We don't need those kind of fans at our games.

But from now on I gives a damn about it.

Go UAB!

UUHHH, Cajun, that stadium cushion ????

I ALWAYS make a point of saying "Welcome Bama Fan"
Or "Welcome Auburn Fan"

I have friends who come to the game as my guests, usually I have green for the to wear. IF not, they wear what the have. And they are my guests, PLEASE BE NICE TO THEM.

Come to think of it, we should ALL make an extra effort to welcome guests at Legion Field as if they were guests in our home.

Except people from Southern Miss!!!!!! 03-nutkick Look, green on gold!!!!
I guess we each have to accept what we can tolerate.

If someone is disrepectful to your wife do you allow it if they give you a few bucks first?

Not me.

How hard is it for these fans to go to a local Wal-Mart and get a shirt that costs just $7.83?
they may not all be uab fans. they could just be bama fans who live in bham that wanted something to do, since alabama was outta town and their game was over by then.
I don't like it any more than the rest of you guys but I'm glad they came and I always welcome them. My son, a big Bama fan and a UAB fan invited me to Tuscaloosa for a game last year. I wore my UAB gear. No one dissed me in T-Town. So, if you see a Bammer or an Aubie at our games offer them a cool one and thank them for coming. If they enjoy themselves they will come back.

Sounds like something a prostitute would say.

Again, some of us aren't for sale.
