I am looking to get a new cell phone. i'm looking at the blackberry curve, blackberry pearl, or the iphone.

if you guys could choose any of those which would you choose and why.
I've had an iPhone for about a month now and I like it. I was already with Cingular/AT&T so all that was needed was to just tack on $20/month for the unlimited Internet/e-mail/text data plan. It runs through the battery pretty quick if you use Safari a lot, but it's great to have a map/iPod/cell phone/e-mail device condensed into one.
my father and my sister have the iphone and both really like them. i just can't make up my mind. i do wish it wasn't so heavy. i may get one or the other and play with it a few days and if i don't like it i can return it and get the other one.
I have the iPhone while my fiance has the blackberry pearl and one of my good friends has the Curve. We discuss the pros of each.

First, the pearl vs. curve is mainly just a question of preference. Do you want a full text board or can you use the Pearls? I've heard the curve's operating system is a little better, because over time the Pearl might slow a little if too much is saved in the memory.

Second, factor would be price. Obviously, the iPhone is much more than the other two, but i believe the data plan is less (so just factor in that over 2 years).

I think all three of us agree the iPhone is the "cooler" phone. The web browser really is fantastic, as is the visual voicemail (if you get a lot of VMs), and how the text messaging works, among other factors.

If you plan to use any of the phones for business, i would not recommend the iPhone. iPhone just now supports corporate email (http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/ar...plans.html) so i'm not sure how that will affect this, but as far as getting the phones set up to your business network, the blackberries are much more secure.

i could keep going, but i think my overall take would be, if you are fine with the price (and the fact that a 3G iphone will probably come out shortly so you may miss it) and just want a phone to have internet features get the iPhone. If you need a phone for business get either blackberry.
What about the Samsung Blackjack? I have that phone and like it a lot.
part of it also is what cell phone provider you're wanting to use. personally, i use verizon, & wouldn't trade them for anything, so i'm holding off on getting an iphone until it's spread out past at&t.

i have a motorola q right now, and it's nice, but i'm leaning toward getting a pearl to replace it. i prefer something smaller, and it's still pretty easy to maneuver.

i really like the pearl, i just wish it had more features that the other 2 have. if it did, that's what i'd get. i'm with at&t, if they had the pearl 2 then i'd get that. So i guess i'm coming down to the iphone and curve. the iphone is definately the "cooler" phone. i do worry about the battery and losing a phone when it goes out. and i like that the curve has a actual keyboard. and i like kind of knowing where my buttons are and not having to always look at my phone.

i guess i'm leaning more towards the curve. but i don't want to feel like i'm missing something with the iphone. i guess i will get one or the other and play with a few days. if i love it i'll keep it, if not i can exchange it.

i have a samsung right now and absolutely hate it, will probably never go back to a samsung.
i haven't really looked into the q.

decisions...decisions.

thanks for the input everyone, i really appreciate it
