Ball State and South Florida will play a home-and-home series in football in 2011 and 2012, according to the St. Petersburg Times. The Cards will play at USF in
September 2011, and the Bulls will play in Muncie in September 2012.

Oh beware! BG played at USF in 2002 and the Bulls did not honor their contract to play at BG in 2003. 04-chairshot
I think that issue had to do with South Florida joining CUSA in 2003. This move caused the Bulls to have to do some shuffling with their schedule. If they had not later moved on to the Big East in 2005, I assume South Florida would have returned the game to Bowling Green at some point, but they probably just paid a buyout by that time instead. Please let me know if my guesses on this situation are factually incorrect. I doubt that the Bulls will stiff Ball State in their upcoming series. Good luck.
Pretty funny coming from a guy who's over on the Big East board ripping on UB for canceling its game against West Virginia and pushing a game against Rutgers back one year. But it's okay when a BE team does it?

That is a fib worthy of the best spin Hillary Clinton's shady surrogates could ever hope to utter. Ripping on a program and stating that someone would approach a series with them with caution as a direct result of despicable past actions are not one and the same. Furthermore, you have omitted the fact that I also said clearly that I hope that is not the case anymore, which is a very important rest of the story.

I do not like it when any school cancels a series and especially if it happens on short notice. Providing a sequence of events and providing a defense, however, are not one and the same. Stop trying to start useless internet arguments for no reason. If you have something to say to me on a Big East thread, then just say it on that Big East thread, do not drag things over to the MAC board. Deal in actual facts.
Krocker Krapp Wrote:You are assuming that Buffalo will not stab any of those four schools in the back as soon as a big name like Auburn or Wisconsin waves a larger monetary guarantee in their face the way they did the last couple of seasons.

Nothing at all derogatory about that. I'm just imagining things.

UB stabs people in the back. USF was doing what it had to do. Makes perfect sense. 01-wingedeagle 01-wingedeagle 01-wingedeagle
Krocker, on the Big East board they are telling me the MAC is down since the realignment. Down because the MAC lost Marshall & UCF.

Toledo signs 1 for 1 with Iowa State
Miami signs 1 for 1 with Colorado
Ball State signs 1 for 1 with USF
Buffalo signs 2 for 2 with Pitt

From the type of deals the MAC has scheduled historically these deals the MAC is signing are incredible.

When you factor in 3 bowls, BCS access, facility improvements at nearly every school, how can you say the MAC is worse off than it was 5 years ago?

In the late 90's CUSA was almost as good as the Big East. Big East basketball was down after expanding with football oriented schools like WVU and Rutgers. In football, both conferences had the same amount of bowls and about the same in the Sagarins. Then the Big East started to seperate with BCS status.

Prior to BCS, Boston College, Pitt, Rutgers all those schools were dreadful and getting worse. It was the BCS that helped recruiting and killed CUSA with the realignment finishing off CUSA basketball.

Toledo signs 1 for 1 with Iowa State

Toledo also signed a 1 for 1 with Missouri recently. And we signed a 1 for 1 with Ohio State with our home game at CBS and we get 58K of the tickets and the money from those tickets.

Seems like Miami University had another 1 for 1 setup recently too.

The MAC has more leverage than it ever has.

Because of 12-game schedules and the problems in general with OOC scheduling.

Why would you ask me? I have never said those things.

Central Florida in the MAC was obviously never going to be anything more than a quick fling of convenience and Marshall obviously felt that they no longer wanted to be in the MAC for whatever reasons they came up with. Neither exit created an insurmountable difference for the league in my opinion.

The MAC is just continuing to be as consistent as ever.
Miami also has a 1-1 with Vandy (to be completed in 2008 with Vandy opening up at Miami)
In addition to completing a 1 for 1 with Iowa last year, the Huskies have a 2 for 1 upcoming with Wisconsin and are playing the 2nd game of a 1 for 1 with Navy this year.

I don't know what the recent spurt of excellent scheduling has to do with the MAC being down since realignment? I might need to see the context of the post on the BE board.

But I agree the MAC is down. But disagree it has anything to do with Marshall or UCF.

And on to the other point. The MAC is not "worse off". It's position in the football world is better redarding facilities and bowls than it ever has. But it is still down in terms of the product on the field and level of play (in my opinion).

thats true for all the non bcs leagues.. U have more teams unwilling to play body bag games... and the 12 game schedule where BCS guys need 1 more game.

Its ironic that this RU fan whos school sucked prior to the Big East defections and the firing of SU's HC, and a schedule that would make North Brunswick Junior High cringe, could make any statement worthy of a response.

BTW, any coaches (Asst HC) beat up their girlfriends lately, commit a murder (Davon Clark), sexual battery (Peterson) etc at R(ahway) U.

I hope this doesn't make KK start crying and running to his mommy, but I too would like to see what the Scarlet Blight does without Ray Rice (who they would never have had in the first place if he didn't back out of his commitment to SU when Pasquajabroni was fired). Nobody else on that team impresses me in the least.

You are right to an extent but people should realize that this program makes Switzers Oklahoma program look like a Father knows Best re run. They play noone, they lucked out w/Rice and the Big East loss of UM,VaTech and BC and they run an undiscilpined program. It will catch up soon enough.

Ask a former Zip Dlineman who transferred from there.
Hey, I see where Ball State signed a home-and-home with South Florida.
