i know there was an earlier thread (don't remember which one) wanting to see that UC game at arizona so here is when that retrovision game repeats. then a classic one point win over marquette at the shoe. should be fun to look back.

That UC Marquette game where Donald Little one it. I was there. It was a tough one to get tickets to, I had just about given up because I was waiting outside the Shoe to get tickets. I walk up to the street and plan on watching it at Uncle Woodys' when I ran into a guy with an extra ticket. It was in great seats. I tried to rush the court after the win!
It was awesome. Talked to Dick Vitale afterwards and remember some guy with a Picture of Dick Vitale in a Duke Cheerleaders uniform.
I will have to watch that one!
At the Bearcat v Marquette game there were like 6 Marquette fans who were incredibly annoying 3 rows down from me. I remember the last play...Logan had the ball and passed off to McElroy who seeming was going to ahve to take the last shot... then he passes to Donald and I am like "NO NO NO!!!.... HELLLLLL YES!!!"
Then me and my buddy ran down three rows and offered the MArquette fans some high fives... great game

Yeah, they showed the Arizona game earlier but there wasn't any advertisement so I didn't catch it until the last 7 or 8 minutes of the game. I have the UC/Marquette game somewhere. I think Marquette was #9, like you said, and UC was #4 or #5.

you are correct claw, cincy was #4 and marquette was #9 at the time.

I was a student at the time of the Zona/UC game...watched it on tv. I think it was Dickerson that hit some huge three's down the stretch to get zona back into it....before he did that UC had control of the game and then of course, someone for zona hits a shot from the uc free throw line to win it....that was one of the "neutral games" vs zona IN arizona i believe.....
was that a 7up shootout game? Did we EVER win a 7up shootout game?
I believe it was a 7up shootout game in San Antonio. And I don't think we ever won a 7up game.
I'll pass on reliving that misery. I will DVR the Marquette game.

It was a great game, but also a frustrating game. Marquette had beat UC by like 14 in Milwaukee and UC was destroying Marquette in the rematch, but slipped up and let Marquette get back into the game. It was a great win, an instant classic, but I wanted blood, especially with Henry doing that throat slash. Thankfully we got payback when UC pounded Marquette late in the C-USA title game.

It was. And, you're right, we never won a 7UP shootout. I think we played Arizona twice in that (Van Exel and the Elite Eight squad lost to Arizona by 10, 70-60) and I think that was also the series where we lost to Jason Kidd and the California Golden Bears. We played a lot of Pac-10 teams over the last 15 years. I think we played Washington and/or Washington State as well, along with Arizona State, Oregon State and USC. We have played Oregon, Stanford and UCLA since. That may be every team in the Pac-10 we have played, I'm not sure.
We didn't play play Cal with Kidd until '94 -- Feb. 14 - '94 -- Valentines Day. Mrs. QSECOFR and I watched tha game -- at Cal -- on a TV at the Outback Steakhouse on Colerain.

You're exactly right! That was the UC freshman team with guys like Damon Flint, Dontonio Wingfield, and others. And, of course, 6-5 center Mike Harris!
Claw, BTW, the Bearcats scored more that evening than I did........
I know the DePaul-UC game is on ESPN2 this year. Hopefully ESPNClassic shows the game from Martin's senior year when he took over the 2nd half and Dermarr Johnson hit the game winner. Great comeback victory... I'd love to see that one again.
