About a month ago nearly everyone was in agreement that these were the two best teams in the conference. Game one of this match-up is highly anticipated in middle tennessee, just wondering if the local fare is fooling me. Also, were into the heat of conference games now, how do you rank the A-Sun differently from a month ago?
I rank the A-sun the same this month as I would any other month...not even a shadow of the southern conference.
As far as ETSU vs Belmont...ETSU has yet to develop into the team that they could and should be...therefor I put this game as a toss-up.
Having said that, something in me thinks Smith is going to unload. I don't know why I think that...it's just a feeling I get.
I have heard NOTHING down here on local TV/radio about this game. Granted I wouldn't put George Plaster or Thom Abraham at the top of the sports radio food chain, but it could be worse.

Unfortunately, we're up against the Ducks playing the Preds in town tonight and the first Vandy/UT game as well Knoxville so we're not getting any coverage. There was a brief discussion this morning on The Zone with Chris Dortch? from Blue Ribbon who is an ETSU grad but that is all I've heard. Not even a mention on line in either local paper.
I'm looking forward to a great game tonight and am expecting ETSU to really bring it early. Hopefully the Bruins can stay close and maybe catch them in the second half. That depends on which first half Bruin team shows up, the one that was down 17-2 against Peay or the 27-3 lead against Murray st.
