"But the Buffaloes aren't finished, thanks to dominating play from senior Branden Harrison, a 6-foot-8 post. Harrison, who already has signed with Eastern Michigan, is averaging 13.5 points, 13.9 rebounds and 5.1 blocks per game to lead Milby.

"Branden is solid offensively, but where he really excels is defense. If he's not blocking shots, he makes the shooter think twice," Duffer said. "Branden also rebounds the ball as well as anybody in our district."

Just ask Westside. In last week's game, Harrison collected 21 boards to go with 13 points and six blocks.

"Branden also plays his best against taller guys," Duffer said. "I don't know if it's because of leverage. He's not the strongest player, but he doesn't get intimidated.""

GOO JOB - GOOD INFO
Yes!!

I think it's time to start beating the drum for the Harrison era (I'm sure Steve approves). I'm thinking maybe a ticker tape parade through campus, and Ramsey can give him the novelty oversized key to the locker room when we finish the parade at the Convo.

Okay the Farrow-Harrison era begins this coming November.

Get your tickets early. 02-13-banana
Might want to skip the Farrow era, he went from starting Power Forward to end of the bench sitter - go figure. He has hardly played with his demotion a few games back. Remember, he started the season with 15 points against Brown . In Ramsey's Doghouse??
In my outsider's opinion, there are two things that could be going on with Farrow:

1) In the doghouse for internal stuff.
2) He looks like he is thinking too hard on the court instead of just playing. Maybe Rams is waiting until he is comfortable in the system. Right now he looks like Freer and Matthews - 2 guys who never looked sure of themselves on the court. Maybe others have picked up the system more quickly.
Also, is it possible the MAC will ban EMU from starting Harrison and Farrow at the same time, just because it will be too easy for us to win the MAC at that point?
After the ticker tape parade, I want to see Harrison vs. Flenard Whitfield (WMU).

Yeah, i've heard a lot of hype over Whitfield. hopefully he's as good as advertised. it will make things more fun.
The ONE thing I like about Hoops recruiting vs. Football is that teams sign players in November and some of these kids like Harrison and Whitfield have breakout seasons.

Obviously, in football players like this would start as MAC verbals and Big Ten signees. 03-banghead

George Mason may have a bigger sleeper then these two. A kid from NYC who WANTED to go mid-major. The kid is now described as the 'best player in the best league' in America. He plays for Christ the King H.S. in N.Y. Scored 30 and 41 against 2 nationally ranked teams.
One ? for Dennis:

Anyone know how good that 5A ball is in Houston????
Not really, coach Donnelly at EMU would know, Harrison is basically his recruit. I do know that he plays on a poor team, their record is something like 6 and 16 and his high game is only 21. I seen something in the Chi papers today that Janton from Barlett is averaging 13.1 ppg and 8.1 rebounds, not mind boggling stats. In my opinion, all the stats listed for our recruits junior years were inflated.

I believe Barnes is averaging around 14-15 ppg and same fro Greene from Robichaud. Stat wise not impressive. We'll see if any of the recruits make any all area teams etc.

P.S Irregardless, I am in favor of recruitign local Michigan talent even moreso in Basketball.

Yeah i read up on the two chi recruits as well. Janton had games of 31 pts 22 pts 22 pts 21 pts etc and then i saw articles in which he had 5 pts 2 pts etc
Anything on Barnes from Oak PARK? They play tonight as does Milby and Robichaud HS. Barnes's team was highly rated but has lost more than it's share. The leading scorer on his team is a kid named Shumpert who has signed with Georgia Tech.
everytime i stroll around article about danny he has around 18 pts and is always in front of that gt recruit
Coaches love to hype their players...lets see if things remain the same at the next level. Its nice that the player has potential lets hope it carries over. What has happened to farrow?
Farrow - who knows what has happened to him? He sits and doesn't play anymore - coaches decision?

I met him this past summer, great kid - hope whatever the problem is that it gets resolved.
Guys, sorry, but I can't resist.

Remember our first take on the "Farrow Era" and I said, hope it isn't

MIA Farrow

But it looks like he is indeed MIA 03-melodramatic
