I know I'm crazy, so realize that before you flame me for this week's rankings.

You might be crazy OZoner but these rankings do make some sense based on the MAC schedule played so far. I don't think Ball State will stay nearly that high, but they did play as well as any 1-1 team in week 1. I also like how you have the Zips ranked! Keep up the good work-I like the website.
Really, spots 3-11 are pretty much up for grabs right now. And while this didn't enter into my thinking for making the list, Ball State has two home games this week. They hold serve and they're suddenly leading the West at 3-1.
I like it.
At home next Saturday to Akron, we can play the underdog-getting-no-respect-card that's so popular these days.
I like it, too. Anytime we are asked to "forcibly" take something from Akron, we're in. Just blame it on OZ, zippies.

Axe...mark the date..it's Wedensday, Jan. 24 we play Akron at the MACC.

OZ... thanks for doing the rankings. They are fun and I can't moan too much based on the results so far. Just put into the BG equation that JC emptied his bench starting with 11 minutes to go in the first half, ending with 11 of our 12 guys eligible playing quality vs. garbage minutes. We started with a 12-0 lead and ended with a 14 point win with the bench emptied in the first half. If JC wanted a blow out, he could have had it. Quality minutes for depth are more important now.

Your description of the Bull's troubles are dead on- maybe even generous (lots of rebounds maybe due to poor shooting?). It's also hard to argue with putting the only 0-2 team, and the only MAC team to lose a home game, in 12th place................But I will 05-stirthepot

Kent & Akron are 1 & 2. The Bulls so far have played Kent & Akron. If you're rankings hold, the other 10 MAC schools would be 0-2 with the same starting schedule. 03-shhhh

On the other hand, the Bulls #*$&@*#. 03-puke Eh, maybe you're right. They haven't shown me anything since November that they deserve any higher. It'll be interesting how they fare against the non-Kent and non-Akron MAC schools.

Reggie, Reggie.........GET SOME RECRUITS!!!!!!!!!!03-banghead
Pretty good !!!
Ball State at Three is the only stretch I see.
Here is my rankings:
1. Kent State- they were not bad in first half vs North Carolina....UB and BGSU nice try, but nobody wins at Kent State.
2. Akron- were gonna find out soon if that non-conference schedule prepared them for Leon Willliams and Jerome Tillman.
3. Ohio- Yes, they lost to BG.....Kent lost to Detroit....Bobcats have a lot more than rest of the MAC has.
4. Miami- Yes they dropped big games, but who else is gonna win in those places they lost.
5. Bowling Green- they are tough at home and beat a road weary Ohio team.
6. Buffalo- what you want a west division team in here? you must be crazy
7. The MAC West- mark it down the last place team in east will get the 7th seed in the MAC tournament and drill the west division champ in Cleveland. I predict the East goes 36-0 vs the west this year.
At what point did BG play us within 2? I agree with FlashFan, if we wanted to blow out BG we definitely could of. Looking forward to this week. If Kent comes out of next week unscathed you'll have to think twice about ranking Akron #1 again, even with that game on Wednesday.

You don't want to come play a rested KSU team at home if they are coming off of 2 big conference wins!

Always have an excuse don't you?
That's a good point Kballard. When was the BG game a thriller within 2, OZ? I recall a four point lead for about 10 seconds, then the Flashes responded. I recall our 19 point lead late in the second. Most of the time, the Flashes had a comfortable 10-15 point lead. Why is this game characterized as a "thriller?"
OZ was saying that after we had the big lead, they played us about even. Of course, when you have a big lead, you are very happy to play even. For them to play us even when they are down double digits is a failure on their part, not ours. We cleared the bench and maintained the lead. Mission accomplished.

"Road weary" by playing 1 game in the 12 days before the BG game? One road game 3 days earlier makes them tired? 03-lmfao
OU had been on the road for nearly a month. It hurt not getting a home game in there for December. Same think happened to Redhawk.
Were they just traveling around aimlessly for the 10 days after the St. Mary's game?

Pretty much. They spent a couple nights at Bucknell, and then drove straight to BUGS, where they holed up for a couple more nights.

This is true. It would have been nice to have a few days in Atown before heading to BG.
That's the team's fault, and they still have to be held accountable for it.
Do you think it would have cost that much more money to head home then go up to BG? I can't imagine it being that much more. Oh well. Get a win at Akron and BG will be forgotten.

Agreed 100%. I'm just stating the facts.
