In your experience, or of those that you know of, what is the best part-time gig for those wanting to make extra dough (great restaurant jobs, notwithstanding) ???

Better yet - and again, restaurant jobs notwithstanding - I suppose what I'm asking is, where might one find a great $12 or $13 an hour part-time gig? FedEx, obviously would be one. Others?

Go to Dominos and drive...5 something an hour. $1.10 per delivery plus tips...the one right here by campus is a good one. If you're good, you'll earn $15-20 an hour on average

That is, if you don't give a **** about your car
It is seasonal, but umpiring baseball is a great way of making extra cash. I can make up to $400 on some weekends and the start up costs are minimal.
yawl mean to tell me CAN COLLECTING doesn't pay the bills anymore???03-melodramatic
All jobs on the Navy base pay above $13 an hour.

How much does it pay to change the church signs once a week?

As long as you get to know the right people (and these people are ones that give to everyone you just need to know them) then umpiring/officiating is a great way to make money.

Iven been doing baseball for five years and Im just now 23 and hes right, Ive made in excess of 400 on a weekend not to mention the occaisional game during the week. If you have any experience or knowledge of the game then check it out.

My 15-year-old son referees soccer games at a youth league at $11 to $14 per game, which typically lasts from 50 to 90 minutes depending on the age group.

Lots of adults do it along side him for the extra money. Do about ten games in a day and you've made $120 tax-free. (They pay in cash at the end of the day.)

Re: aluminum cans for cash

Copper is the new aluminum. (Thank you, China.)

I know you're kidding, tt, but most the kids don't make that much to even fool with it. I know he will never get a W-2 from the league!

Don't really know what the adults make who ref all day long.

Gigolo. The viagra is tax deductible, but it takes awhile to develop a client list. I've been at it for about three years. Please steer clear of any senior centers in Desoto or Tate counties. They are all on my regular route.

Different leagues and tournaments pay different amounts.
Centers make $42 per game in Memphis Shelby Soccer Federation, which governs competitive soccer in Memphis for teams that play under the Tennessee State Soccer Association. AR's make $25 per game.
The pay scale goes down a bit with the younger kids, which is where new officials cut their teeth. But the pay is still good. They are starving for officials.

A lot of refs do rack up games on weekends and at tournaments, but there are games virtually year-round during the week with start times between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm.
