Hawaii at La Tech
SJSU at NMSU
Utah State at Fresno State
Idaho at Nevada

Feel free to discuss the games before and after the fact.

Nevada is a 26 point favorite against the Vandals...ouch.
NMSU is a 20 or 21 point favorite per covers.com. I don't like this, don't like this at all. I doubt if they will cover. Hope it doesn't end up being a shoot-out 04-chairshot .
Hawaii up by 1 at the half.
Dawgs win 70-67 when a last second 3 rimmed out for the Warriors.
NMSU Aggies get an ugly win over San Jose State 74-68. I hope they play better as their next three games are on the road against

Idaho
Boise State
Louisiana Tech
Nevada rolls over Idaho 81-55. The oddsmakers sure nailed that one.

The Pack played their freshman for much of the game as well. Bad news for the rest of the league...the future looks bright for Nevada even after Nick is gone.

Of course every team will say that after their all conference player graduates 04-rock

Nice win for you lot. I so want to be excited for the game on Jan 20 05-mafia but we still have three games to take care of on the road.

Here is my attempt to be happy about tonight's win. 02-13-banana 02-13-banana
A win is a win though. Even the best teams have ugly nights, but that is the mark of a good team- having an ugly night and still finding a way to beat a team you're supposed to beat.

Look at it this way- NMSU fared better tonight than many top 25 teams. There were five upsets tonight in the top 25, and three other games where top 25 teams won by four points or less against unranked opponents.

Gotta love college basketball for this very reason. It anyone's game on any given night.

Oh I forgot to mention the play-offs too! Gotta love college basketball.

I don't think Hawaii will even qualify for the NIT this year. Too bad for Wallace...as this is his final year as Hawaii's coach.

Looks like Larry Brown's name is finally "off" the table for Hawaii.

There are some great coaches out there with Hawaii ties. My personal favorite is an assistant at Kentuky.

Can't wait to find out who our new coach will be.

Hey, Mike Montgomery's available, and Hawai'i is a situation along the lines of what he indicated he's interested in (i.e., replacing a retiring coach, rather than a fired one).
;-)
There's a thread of Mike Montgomery here:

He actually applied for the Hawaii job like 20 years ago, but we went with Gary Arnold (the worst bball coach in Hawaii history) instead.
Getting Montgomery would be pretty cool. Here's a link to the SF Chronicle article I was referring to: Coach contemplating next move. So...is anybody "upset at anybody" over there? ;-)
I'm "upset" at the UHAD. Does that count? ;-)

I think Mike would be an excellent choice for Hawaii. He'd need to keep at least one current Hawaii assistant to maintain recruiting ties.

He'd come to a Hawaii team that has talent, but no clear direction.
