beaten Ohio St pretty bad in the title game if they would have made it there. They would have slashed the OHIO ST defense up just like they did to Oklahoma last night. It is say to say that WVU is and was a national championship caliber team after witnessing that game last night.
If WVU protects the ball against PITT and USF, I believe they would have been 13-0 this year.
Ohio State got lucky. If Oklahoma was a step behind, how far back do you think the Buckeyes would have been?
We'll assume that RR would be the coach in the OSU NC game. Would he have come out firing all his bullets like Stewart did?
If the queen had balls then she'd be king. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts then we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

WVU looked awesome last night. Unfortunatelly, they didn't get it done against Pitt. The same thing happened to USC. They'd be playing the BCS Championship Game if they didn't get beat at home by a terrible Stanford team.

Exactly. WVU’s probable top 4 or 5 finish is something to be very proud of, despite not getting to the title game.
I am convinced that WVU would be 13-0 if Pat White never got hurt. I know USF and Pitt both had him under wraps when he went down but he's a winner and would have found a way to win both of those games. Just my opinion.
I am very happy with way the season ended. The NC was just not meant to be.

I did enjoy the play calling on both sides of the ball though. The early passes didn't work too well but they may have set up the 2nd half. I'm just wondering if RR leaving might have helped the Mountaineers as they seem to have taken a nothing to lose attitude.
Pat White is just an incredible player. Michigan fans gonna find out Rich Rod's system might not be as impressive without their own Pat White. That being said, Pat being hurt and also turnovers cost WVU USF and Pitt game. I think WVU has just as much claim to any other team for the national title. There is no real title this year without a playoff.

Oh yeah, WVU would roll over OSU if they played last night.

I think Rich's record would be quite different at WVU if not for Pat White. He's a special player and the type of guy who doesn't come along very often.
Here's what it would look like if I had a coaches' vote:

1. OSU/LSU winner (required)
2. USC
3. WVU
4. Ga
5. Mizzou
6. VT/KU winner
7. Oklahoma
8. OSU/LSU loser
9. Texas
10. VT/KU loser

If I had an AP vote:

1. USC
2. WVU
3. OSU/LSU winner
4. Ga
5. Mizzou
6. VT/KU winner
7. Oklahoma
8. OSU/LSU loser
9. Texas
10. VT/KU loser

I'm with you. If Memphis were in a BCS league, the Tigers would be more competitive in FB and ranked number one and on TV more in BB - if, if, if.
