I figured the kid backed out because he was rethinking about Duke who he had an offer from. Don't see the difference in going from WIU to UNI or ISU. All three are pretty much the same.

Man...go there for the education, and go for free because of football. I think that's a bit of a step up from WIU, on both parts!
Early in the process he indicated an offer from Duke and I think one other D1 in addition to NIU. Picked Western early, has a brother that goes to Western. It would be interesting to find out what type of senior year he had and if we are still pursuing him.
