Good win for the MAC. WMU is an odd bunch this year. Pound SoILL and Davidson but lose to Northwestern and IUPUI (decent team).

Very nice win and i agree that WMU is very inconsistent. They had leads against both NU and IUPUI before giving them up and losing. There's clearly something wrong in Carbondale. Looks like they might need to shake some things up down there.

As strange as it may seem, IUPUI is pretty darn good.

Their schedule is weak though. Never heard of S.C. Upstate, Western Illinois is winless, IU-South Bend (never heard of it), Alaska, and the Gulf Coast (never heard of it). They should have beat IUPUI. I think WMU fans would agree.
Their leading scorer, Hill is better than any player in the MAC. Will play in the NBA.

Hawkins said he is the best player WMU was likely to face all season.

Oh, and a 12 point win over UMass is not too shabby.

Like Akron, it is kind of hard to judge how good a team is by their schedule. The fact remains that they have only lost two games, both on the road, one at Marquette.

We'd like to believe we should have won that game but shooting in the 35% range in the second half doesn't get it done. Trust me, IUPUI has a pretty good squad - it is the first time they have ever beaten WMU.

The Broncos will be OK. They have played 11 games, 8 on the road.

Exactly. They also had an 8 point win over Chicago State who played arguably the best team in the MAC(Miami) down to the wire. Correct about UMass too. Toledo lost to UMass. We(NIU) lost to UMass.

For epasnoopy: Just because their SOS is not tough doesn't mean a team can't be good.
I saw us play IUPUI last year at a tourney in Columbus in November. I was impressed with their coach and the team. I thought then they were very solid though they didn't have the season they had hoped for. Some had even picked them to win the Horizon last year (Butler was picked 5th or 6th!).
That's a good program.
IU-South Bend is a NAIA or Div. 3 school I believe. So that game against IUPUI may have been an exhibition.
IU-South Bend in an NAIA school in the CCAC conference(Div. 1 NAIA)

Shake what up? It's not the coaching and the offense's execution has actually been decent this year. We just can't make wide open shots.

We're not a very good team right now. Probably going to have to do the same thing we did two years ago and get hot at the end of the season and win the conference tournament.

The starting lineup. If the guys in the game now aren't getting it done then play some other guys who will. Did you think i meant get rid of the coaching staff?
