The first of several Memphis Holiday High School Basketball Tournaments starts tonight at CBHS - Purple Wave Classic. In addition to CBHS, Manassas and Treadwell are participating...Good chance to see rising Junior, Reginald Buckner of Manassas...
Saw CBHS play St. Benedict last Friday night in one of the most exciting HS school games I have seen in awhile...CBHS prevailed in OT by 2...St. Benedict has a 6'7" kid (Zack Ricketts) who committed to Army. Scored 27 points in the loss. On the CBHS side, someone mentioned that all five starters are being recruited at some level, including former Tiger Bubba Luckett's son Brad who had a solid game Friday. While none are obviously of the Elliot Williams & Leslie McDonald caliber, it is amazing how much talent Memphis produces even at the lower college levels...
