The wife is on me about going to Florida after Christmas, 3-4 days.
For the last 12 years I have been a Destin regular, however she wants Southern Florida (warmer this time of year) this time around. Anywhere we might go I want a decent nightlife. We went to S. Beach last December, so that is off the table this year (and S. Beach is a little wild for me).
Any thoughts, Naples, Lido, Siesta, Ft. Lauderdale?????

You actually need to go to Naples or further to get warm - Ft Myers is chilli.
Naples or Marco Island are nice.
Fly to Orlando and drive south - probably best rates.
I highly, highly recommend Key Largo...it's accesible to the rest of the Keys, and you are out of the slime and crime of Dade/Broward. There is a place we stayed at that is right next to where the African Queen is...there are bars and restaurants that are staggering distance away.
Trust me on this one.

I would have recommended this, but he wanted to go south. St. Augustine isn't much better than Destin in December. We used to live 25 mins from there....ugh...I miss that. It's a great,great place...Key West without the freak parade.

I will also be in florida from the 27th through the 4th.. visiting fam.. and relaxing.. and YES I SCORED THE WORST BENGALS TICKETS OF ALL TIME!
6 tickets to see the Dolphins vs. Bengals.. 8 rows from the field.. for 80 bucks total.. including a parking pass.. 15 bucks a ticekt to potentially see the dolphins go 0-16 or the bengals lose to the worst team in about history.. either way.. win win for me.. should be like watching notre dame play football this year.. disorganized as hell, and worth less than the paper the tickets are printed on..
