This is great, we are going BACK to the PETRINO offense with Brohm running the show. That means more then likely more two back sets and more power football. I will enjoy getting back to a 55-45 Run/Pass ratio. Also I am much more confident with Brohm running the offense and Cantwell being the QB then I would be with Stubby.

On defense I want them to go after the best and that means either Ed Orgeron or Ron English. Both are looking for jobs right now.
I hope they aren't done yet, I don't like the combo duties some of these coaches have either. For example I think Nelson is good with special teams, but was terrible with the d line. Also the O line/RB's coordinator needs to be separated. I just hope this is the start of changes.

I am right with you, I want to keep Nelson as strickly the ST coach but get someone in like a Orgeron to coach the DLine up. We missed Kevin Wolthausen this season.
Ron English may not be available. Word out of Michigan is that Carr and their AD want whoever the new coach is to keep English and DeBord.

Yep, and Whitt too as DB coach; Mallory sucks.

I would not blame them either. He is very good at his job for the Maize and Blue.
i wonder if you could make a run at tenuta, louisville has the deep pockets for it, not sure if he's ever worked with kragthorpe before though.
Tenuta will probably go to LSU to fill Pelini spot, since he was going to go with Miles to Michigan initially.
I'd say we'll make a run at the following

1. Ed Orgeron (SP?)
2. Tyrone Nix
3. UF, LSU, Auburn defensive position coach
Tyrone Nix is the leader for Sothern Miss HC right now.

speaking as a interested bystander, DO NOT HIRE ED ORGERON!!!!!! your defense will have no discipline and will hemmorage players throughout his tenure. besides, have you seen a coach zero defense over the past few years? they gave up 31 to northwestern state for goodness sakes. the only time their defense played up to their talent level was in their two bowl games per year.....memphis and mississippi state.
Some more info has come out since the Rutgers game. Basically, Stubbs was a lame-duck OC even before halftime. Krag not Stubbs called that TD play right before the 2nd half that gave the Cards momentum going into the locker room.

Then in the 2nd half, it was Jeff Brohm and Krag calling the plays while Stubbs just walked around the sidelines with nobody paying attention to him. Also worth noting is the role Assistant coach Greg Nord played in the 2nd half comeback. Nord is a Louisville native and has been a coach with the program since the Cooper days. Nord got the sidelines fired-up; he was even helping out coaching the defense although he is an offensive assistant.

The whole team rallied around Nord and Brohm’s play calling, and the team ended this season in the 2nd of the Rutgers game the way Louisville Football is supposed to be played.

Stubbs was never a good fit here. I am just glad for 1 half we got BACK to playing Louisville Football.

That was probably one of the reason why the fans rushed the field. They were so glad to see the brand of football that we all know and love.
The firings and promotions certainly give some added hope for next season, along with the knowledge that Brohm was given play calling duty in the 2nd half against Rutgers. It will be interesting to see who we can hire for the new D coordinator.
Wasn't Nord first on Schnelly's staff?

You are thinking of Gary Nord and he is currently with Schnelly @ FAU.
