Will this ever be feasible here at NIU outside of the convo? Do other schools do it? I am just wondering because this would be a great way to get more fans to go to games. Especially fraternities and sororities
May just be too cold, but if we start to play well and were in contention for a MAC title / NCAA berth I bet some people would show up.
I believe they tried it one time in 2002 or so for the DePaul game. I don't know how it turned out since it was right after the loss to Toledo the same day in Football.
If anyone has ever felt the biting, tornado-like winds that are ever-present around the Convo Center in the winter, tailgating would be out of the question - unless, of course, you are already so drunk that you couldn't feel your hands, fingers, other appendages, and your face fall off from frostbite.
