I am more resolved than ever to attend the Bearcat Bowl game no matter where it is. This team and program deserves it. We have come to far to let this slip now. I for one love watching Bearcat BCS football and don't want it to go away.

By the way, I have 3 kids 4 years old and under and am "busy" just like everyone else. So grab a brother, buddy, your parents or all of the above and get to the game however you can.

Go Bearcats 04-rock
The game is on a saturday so take friday off and drive down for the game on saturday. at least it isn't a christmas eve bowl game, or a middle of the week bowl game..
If I can get a flight leaving Friday and coming back Sunday for under $200 I may be able to make it. Right now I am at $300 through Southwest flying out of Hartford.
Try priceline and negotiate! I seriously did great through them for a trip out west.
7 hours, 21 minutes drive from Cincy to Birmingham per MapQuest and a short flight for those that prefer this.

Bottom line is that many would like to have that Friday before Christmas off anyway so travel Friday, watch Bearcats give a beatdown on Saturday and travel back that night or Sunday, still back at home for Monday Christmas Eve.

Need I remind anyone that it sure appears that the basketball team may not be playing for anything meaningful for a good while, yet here is a Bearcat team that has been winning and is trying to stay in the Top 25 and get to 10 wins as a BCS team with whatever bowl.

Let's make it happen folks, Mauk to "Bones" for TD 04-rock
Can we please get Toronto, it is much easier for me.
Don't you now need a passport for Toronto?
Not if you drive.
Maybe Rick Minter can be an honorary coach for the PapaJohns Bowl.
Once again UC gets screwed.

Certainly see that perspective, BUT Rick wasn't coaching a Top 25 team looking for its 10th win that is very exciting to watch play on both sides of the ball. That should be reason enough for our fans to attend and support the team.
You should have plenty of elbow room

BOYCOTT!
Dang, I had the wife talked into a trip to Charlotte.

December 23rd already has family Christmas parties scheduled. I'll never talk my way out of those.

AIR TRAVEL

Implemented on January 23, 2007, ALL PERSONS traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean region are required to present a passport or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States.

LAND AND SEA TRAVEL
The following summarizes information available on the Department of Homeland Security’s website.

JANUARY 31, 2008
U.S. and Canadian citizens will need to present either a WHTI-compliant document, or a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, plus proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate. DHS also proposes to begin alternative procedures for U.S. and Canadian children at that time.

SUMMER 2008
At a later date, to be determined, the departments will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have either a U.S. passport; a U.S. passport card; a trusted traveler card such as NEXUS, FAST, or SENTRI; a valid Merchant Mariner Document (MMD) when traveling in conjunction with official maritime business; or a valid U.S. Military identification card when traveling on official orders.

The implementation date will be determined based on a number of factors, including the progress of actions undertaken by the Department of Homeland Security to implement the WHTI requirements and the availability of WHTI compliant documents on both sides of the border. DHS and DOS expect the date of full WHTI implementation to be in the summer of 2008. The precise implementation date will be formally announced with at least 60 days notice.

You absolutely DO NEED a passport to go to Toronto. Last year was the last year you go do it without passports.

That will be a problem for those teams that play there in that the fans won't be able to get passports in time.
The whole UC football team and Band got theirs all at the same time this year in mid october to ensure they wouldn't have that hangup the traveling party..

You know Bruce who doesn't have a planned party the Friday or Saturday before Christmas? Bowl season is supposed to start AFTER Christmas not December 22nd. What a terrible date.

It actually DOES start after Christmas...
What were the bowl credits for? We didn't need them obviously. We could be playing some low level CUSA team without them. What is UC saying about this? If the fix was in, then UC can take my bowl credit and sue the Big East and the corupt gang in Charlotte.
I'm going to b'ham - whatever - we got screwed.

I hope that I don't come across any OSU fans during the next 24 hours...I might vent.
